How this site is made
Who publishes Matrix Cognition, how the articles are made, and how the facts in them are checked.
Who publishes it
Matrix Cognition is published under its own name. It is owned by an independent publisher who also runs these websites:

No article on Matrix Cognition is paid for by anyone it writes about.
How the articles are made
The articles, code listings and datasets are produced from the sources named in each article, under the owner’s direction. The owner decides what is published and when.
Where an article reports its own research, saying what was read, what was run or what could not be confirmed, “we” means this site. No article describes anyone’s personal history or career. Until September 25, 2026 the About page said the site was written by one person; it was corrected that day.
How the numbers are checked
- Tutorials. The code ships with the article as a complete listing with its package versions named, and the numbers in the text come from running that code. Where a run uses chosen inputs rather than measurements, the article says so.
- Paper readings. Each paper is cited by its arXiv identifier. The article separates what the authors claim, what they measured and under which settings, and what could be checked here, and a figure quoted from a table names the table.
- News. Releases are dated from the primary announcement (the lab's post, the model card, the release notes), with the link.
- Every lab alike. A lab's claims about its own models and tools are held to the same sourcing rule, whichever lab it is.
- Every article ends with a Sources list.
If a fact cannot be verified, it is left out and the article says so. When an article is corrected, its updated date moves with the change.
